Driving on I-90 and I-94. Just want the attractions where I can pull off the highway for 10 – 30 minutes to stretch my legs. No big things, like the Sears Tower, where you have to hunt around for parking and wait in lines.

Winne asked:

I will have a 4-hour train layover in Chicago on a Tuesday. For those of you who either live there or have visited, what would you suggest I do? I would like to see the Sears Tower, the Navy Pier and a couple of museums, but I doubt I will have enough time. What would be most worth my time?

Hi I am doing this math project that I hav to pretend to go on a road trip. That means planning it and all that other stuff. I am “planning” to go to Chicago. I plan to go to 2 places there but my teacher says I could only go to one place in Chicago. So should I go to the Buckingham Fountain or the Sears Tower.

Oh and money is no object the main purpose of this project is to spend one billion dollars.

Because last summer when i went there, i didnt do anything. but from my last trip of 5 years ago, i remember going to the Sears tower, this museum with a BIG long neck dinosaur, and china town. I am a designer, and would like to find out what people find to be the most popular places are in Illinois to visit. I have a good list of ideas, but generally from people who live and work in the Chicago area. I have it planned that I’m going to put the Chicago skyline across the bottom of the pattern, but still feel free to mention things such as Sears Tower, The Hancock Center, etc. I really need more downstate, but if your ideas are just in the Chicago area, that’s fine too.

Thank you!
Jeff

should I just look at the beautiful pic of US Capitol Bldg? I traveled to see nice buildings before, it was too close, and too tall pictures looked better, like Sears Tower.
