If that is what you believe, then I feel sorry for you, Maybe you have things pretty nice. Maybe you live in a nice home, good school, freedom, relative peace, nice possessions, etc.
What about the person living in the inner city? The homeless, the strife for food, living on the streets,begging for money, high crime, etc. Is this as good as it will ever get for them? Should the Atheist living in a ghetto feel that this is about as good as it will get and then you die? What about those in third world nations?
Do you feel that the future governments of the world and yet to come new inventions/findings will eliminate all suffering world wide?
Or-Is life as we know it, or life as it will be in the next 20 plus years, be as good as it will ever get?
Do you feel that you live, you die, you become worm food–end of story.? No such thing as Heaven? Nothing better to follow? Is that line of thinking as good as it will ever get?.
Then why aren’t you out enjoying life to the greatest degree? Why aren’t you traveling the world over and seeing all the great things there are to see? The seven wonders of the world and more. Things like the pyramids, Taj Mahal. Great Wall of China, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Rome, London, Africa, the Grand Canyon, Polar Ice Caps, the tropics? Or even things like: The Golden Gate Bridge, Gate Way Arch, Empire State Building, Sears Tower, The White House, Disney World.
Have you been surfing, parachuting /hand gliding, mountain climbing, gone to the Super Bowl, World Series, seen the top bands and actors? Have you built a big beautiful home, own a Jaguar, Royce Royce, classic 57 Chevy or 63 Mustang? No? Why Not? If this is as good as it gets, then I’d get it all.
The Christian has eternal life, eternal bliss in Heaven to look forward to and it’s assured to us through Jesus Christ. We can strive for the better but we know that suffering will never end and we can count it all as bliss because it can only last for the short time we are here on earth. An everlasting life filled with wonder awaits us Heaven.
If you feel that this life is as good as it gets, I feel sorry for you and I hope you will come to accept Christ into your life.
Guru: And you know I don’t do volunteer work because………? Sorry, your wrong. My church has sent people to New Orleans to help re-build three or four times. Ever hear of Christian sponsored soup kitchens, clothing drives, blood drives, cool/heat centers? I have & have worked in such.

You die and you have been really really good.

Standing there towering above you, is God in a giant box cabenit and your standing there on a small wooden block.
He shows you all the good deads that you have done in your entire life and then adds them against your sins and you win.
You are told that you will be held accountable for all your deed and will be given excrusiating pleasure.
Then the hammer falls.
Next people come like police men to take you away to meet your fate, and you are taken away to a place of extreme joy.
You are led down the stair case and you walk a plank and are knocked off as people say “May God have mercy on your soul”.
You then fall in to a black viod, which is blacker than a black-hole.
You enter this pit of darkness and travel down and down and down.
There you see fire rawing, but the fire is cold.
It burns with searing hot pleasure, which cripples you with extasy.
It heads towards you like an nuclear explosion does in “Judgement day” on “Terminator 2″.

Then you burn with pleasure that you cannot comprihend.
It goes on for eternity.
